MEET THE MANAGEMENT

DJ SWMPTHING - STATE MANAGER

DJ Swmpthing is a Midwest DJ out of Columbus, Ohio. However, his DJ journey started in his hometown in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up his father would always play the 70s and 80s hits, jazz, and classical music. And of course, being from the NOLA, everywhere he went he was surrounded by music.

After leaving New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina and relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida DJ Swmpthing could be found watching DJ Jazzy Jeff during the Fresh Prince episodes and listening to the likes of DJ Khaled on the radio. That pair in entertainment sparked his interest in djing. By 2016 Swmp was living in Columbus, Ohio, and enrolled in the Ohio Media School. There he learned the ins and outs of radio, being an on-air talent, and djing. Swmp quickly sharpened his skill as a DJ and was doing small events like poetry nights and talent shows. Because of a few mentors, Swmp was able to become familiar with the city quickly, and the city with him. His on-air show with a classmate (kiddkash for the swmp show) and then good friend Tiffany EL (Breaking Ground Radio) provided him the trust from local and regional artists and got him an entry to the Fleet DJs in 2018. His career has then been in high gear. Currently, DJ Swmpthing is the State Manager for Ohio Fleet DJs, and quickly gaining accolades on the local level, regional level, and national level! Swmp now has a syndicated midday mix show (The Lunch Box Mix), and his own media company (Itsaswmpthing Media LLC). His future goals are now to have a local home for his mix show, be able to help more artists in and out of the Midwest via his company, travel with other artists, become a tour DJ, and help build the Ohio, regional and national brand of the Fleet DJs.
